Commercial Producer/account Manager

Working under mínimal supervision, as a **Commercial Producer / Account Manager**, you will provide front-line sales and customer service of Commercial OR Personal lines policies and taking responsibility for the retention and account development of existing clients, meanwhile developing new business opportunities and initiatives.
**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Increase commercial insurance new business sales by surveying prospects to determine insurance needs, utilizing brokerage marketing plans and existing account referrals;
- Collecting detailed risk and underwriting information;
- Offer exceptional service to clients by advising on insurance related issues, assessing their needs and recommending convenient solutions by cross selling new policies.
- Responsible for building and managing client relationships with new and existing clients;
- Conduct renewal and follow up phone calls to maintain relationships and client service levels;
- Maintain knowledge of current underwriting rules, product knowledge and other insurance related changes;
- Build positive working relationships with internal and external parties, including networking at industry events;
- Participate and contribute to the development of regional strategies, target benchmarks and business plans which include reporting and audit;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Post-secondary education and/or completion of designation such as CAIB or CIP.
- 5-7 yrs experience in the insurance broker industry, preferably in a leadership role.
- Must be licensed with CAIB designation.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and engage high performing teams while managing change.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to present information or arguments in a convincing manner.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to select and implement best solutions.
- Strong decision making skills with the ability to provide justification.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information in a convincing manner.
- Excellent ability to multi-task and monitor progress to meet deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office;
- Strong technical and insurance market knowledge;
- Extensive use of client management systems and navigation of various company portals;
**WORKING CONDITIONS**:
- Full-time, permanent position (35 hours per week)
- Flexible work arrangements can be discussed
- Some travel within the Atlantic Provinces required
