We are hiring for a **Team Lead, Rental Home Specialist**. The successful applicant will succeed in a fast-paced, progressive career, enjoy working with people in a team environment and provide outstanding customer service. Working collaboratively with the existing team and reporting to the Vice President, Residents, this is a full-time salary role. The **Team Lead, Rental Home Specialist** is responsible for the day-to-day support, development and management of the Residents division for operational excellence, inclusive of Rental Home Specialists. This includes all aspects and engagement related to prospective residents and their journey to securing a suite with Avana.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- The schedule of this role will be Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.
- Reporting directly to the Vice President, Residents, in conjunction with the leadership of the Director, Resident Engagement, the Team Lead, Rental Home Specialist will support the overarching strategy and daily operations of all Rental Home Specialists.
- Day-to-day support and oversight of all Avana Rental Home Specialists across all markets.
- Collaborate with Residents division leadership in building a committed, enthusiastic and successful team environment and culture with strong staff retention.
- Participate in the development as well as assist in leading the execution of new and refreshed division processes and procedures.
- Participate in and support the execution of onboarding and training for all new divisional hires as required as well as the development of new training programs.
- Support in the research, ideation and development of the optimal resident experience through the starting touch-points of engagement with the Residents division.
- Provide support and optimization tactics to ensure all Rental Home Specialist KPIs are met and/or exceeded, inclusive of but not limited to closing ratio, vacancy rates, initial lease onboarding, and resident feedback.
- Provide coverage for holidays and vacations for Rental Home Specialists.
- Collaborate and work effectively with the Brand division on listings and campaigns to proactively promote vacant suites to Avana’s target audience, identifying opportunities in the strategic plan by studying the target demographic and current market analysis.
- Collaborate and work effectively in supporting and executing marketing campaigns via Avana leadership and the Brand division to proactively promote vacant suites and campaigns for upcoming projects to prospective residents.
- Oversee the market research conducted by the Rental Home Specialists on an ongoing basis. Assist leadership and the Brand division in identifying gaps in the strategic plan by studying the target demographic and market trends.
- Ensure the Rental Home Specialists are promoting, and maintaining a positive resident experience from initial contact, through to possession as well as effectively transition the relationship to the partnering Property Manager, ensuring we have exceeded their expectations.
- Attend and represent Avana at various community events and functions.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Class 5 Driver’s License with clean driver’s abstract.
- Possess great customer service, leadership, transparent communication and strong sales skills.
- Preference to work in a fast-paced environment and a commitment to excellence.
- Accuracy and attention to detail, with fantastic organizational, problem-solving and time management skills. Ability to exercise tact and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Be independent with the ability to be a team player.
- Marketing knowledge/experience would be considered an asset.
- Computer literacy is required. You will be required to use Property Management software as well as G-Suite, Adobe and Microsoft programs. Experience with Yardi is an asset.
- Proven experience in the real estate/property management industry is considered an asset.
- Preference will be given to applicants with a post-secondary education degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
