The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.

**Role Summary**:
- Responsibilities:
- Effectively plan, budget, and lead the execution of sustainability projects including quotes, capital requests, incentives and rebates
- Coordinate sustainability/energy project assessment, implementation & validation
- Monitor data & complete sustainability/ energy projects to ensure sustainability goals, targets and objectives are met
- Measure, monitor and analyze energy data daily, provide feedback for performance, inefficiencies and abnormalities
- Provide project management support, tracking, and communication related to sustainability and continuous improvement objectives on projects, including supporting the creation of presentations, reports, and sustainability planning
- Coordinate sustainability project requirements with building landlord, legal department and other external contacts and applicable team members
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability practices and objectives on equipment standards, design & maintenance
- Engage the team and participate in waste reduction initiatives
- Provide sustainability/energy training to all departments as necessary
- Submit and process sustainability/energy data and projects within the HSELinx system
- Present and lead at monthly energy meetings
- Work with MRO Coordinator to ensure adequate supplies and spare parts inventories are maintained
- Lead role to ensure Mafact 6.1 & 6.13 requirements are achieved
- Perform regular formal/informal workplace inspections
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity
- Ensure external contractors adhere to Plastcoat’s policies and procedures
- Stay informed on industry developments and trends relating to sustainability
- Must be available to support all shifts including office and shop floor
- Regular presence on the shop floor required
- Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by all health, safety and environmental rules and regulations, promoting safety in the workplace
- Comply with the requirements of C-TPAT/PIP
- Conduct business in an ethical manner in compliance with the Magna Code of Conduct
- Report all accidents/incidents and unsafe conditions/behavior
- Adhere to applicable quality systems and IATF-16949 standards
- Adhere to and promote the Employee Charter and work within the rules, regulations and guidelines of the Plastcoat Employee Handbook
- Participate in and support Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Maintain work area in accordance with the principles of 5S and operate daily within these standards
- Ensure work area is kept neat and organized
- Perform other duties as required
**Key Qualifications/Requirements**:
- EDUCATION:
- Post-Secondary education in a technical field
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with building management systems is a must
- 2 years manufacturing experience is an asset
SKILLS:
- Thorough understanding of applicable building codes and legislation
- Strategic thinker
- Results-oriented and able to work under pressure
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literate in MS Word and spreadsheet programs
- Demonstrated ability to effectively solve problems
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Well-developed organizational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Physically capable of performing essential duties of the job
