**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
We are looking for a **Systems Administrator **to join our IT Operations team for a permanent position in our downtown Toronto office. We’re an industry-leading organization that is continuously reshaping how consumers interact with their loyalty programs. We work with the world’s largest airline, hotel, financial, and retail rewards programs, to tackle complex challenges and come up with innovative e-commerce solutions. If you’d like to be a part of it, we’d love to hear from you.We are looking for a Systems Administrator, with passion for learning, who will act as a key member of one of our IT Operations team ensuring our pre-production and production environments maintain high availability.

Reporting to the Manager, IT Operations, the Systems Administrator will be responsible for:

- Being an integral part of a team of Systems Administrators and DBAs responsible for the administration of our technology stack infrastructure and operation of our SaaS products.
- Managing pre-production and production environments running in multiple data centers and clouds.
- Continually advancing and improving the automation of procedures and task.
- Leading impact assessment and selection of tools and devices that will improve our ability to effectively maintain, monitor and troubleshoot our environments and infrastructure.
- Collaborate closely with Software Engineering and Product Management on the build and deploy of new products.
- Ensure production environments are operated in accordance with documented policy so that compliance requirements are met and robust security is maintainedParticipate in a rotating on call schedule to provide 7/24 emergency support.
- Other duties as required.

**YOU ARE SOMEONE WITH**:

- 3+ years of experience in a high availability, clustered server environment and/or in a 24/7 production environment
- In depth knowledge of virtualization, web servers, load balancing, containers and Linux server administrationKnowledge of network filesystems
- Knowledge of Cloud TechnologyExperience with security and incident management.
- Extensive experience operating infrastructure with a minimum 99.9% uptime and related SLAsNetworking expertise in router, switch and firewall setup, configuration and management (Fortinet).
- Experience with after hours on-call rotation and infrastructure maintenance windows
- Proficient in scripting and other automation techniques including Puppet, Bash, Python, Terraform
- Ability to excel in a high-paced, entrepreneurial, growth-oriented environment.
- Ability to balance independent problem solving with proactive, organized requests for support and ongoing project initiatives\Highly motivated and self-directed
- Excellent documentation and communication skills

**Nice to have**:

- Experience with Docker, nginx and puppet
- Experience with AWS Administration
- Experience with PCI and various compliance standards
- Experience with Kubernetes
