Position Summary

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for planning and implementing preventative maintenance processes, equipment repairs, installation and modification of building construction and repair on an efficient and timely basis through effective management and utilization of maintenance resources. He is also responsible for OEE optimization through machines performance optimization.

Specific Job Duties
- Directs the activities of the maintenance department team and resources to ensure that all plant equipment is maintained and repaired with minimum downtime.
- Participate actively and take part in EHS projects and improvements on a regular basis.
- Functions as project manager for new equipment installations and capital projects, develops performance specifications, and oversees bidding process.
- Takes responsibility for budget and control of department costs and proactively forecasts future maintenance needs to minimize budget impacts.
- Manage building maintenance in accordance with laws in place and also represent Prysmian Group for environmental purposes.
- Support engineering department with major production issues and participate in lean continuous improvement activities.
- Optimizes machine performance in accordance with new technologies and industry best practices
- Creates, distributes and monitors schedules for machine preventative maintenance and works with manufacturing to determine priorities including shutdown periods.
- Supports the TPM and Tier 1 process with timely completion of Pinks, Blues and Reds.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Solid planning, leadership and administrative skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Six Sigma and lean manufacturing
- Ability to work in a Safestart culture

Education
- BS Engineering Degree or equivalent is required

Experience
- 5 years maintenance management experience
- Strong emphasis on Planned and Predictive Maintenance
- Experience managing a maintenance budget
- Project management experience
- Strong database background, comfortable with a variety of software systems, including spreadsheets.
- Proven ability to work in a team setting
