**Junior Mechanical Project Manager (New Construction)**

**Compensation & Perks**
- Salary range of $70,000-$90,000 annually based on a combination of education and experience

**Responsibilities**
- Manage mechanical contracting projects from pre-construction phase until completion
- Manage projects and effectively influence, negotiate, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders including owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and project team members
- Execute projects throughout various stages including feasibility studies, preliminary design, detailed design, construction, commissioning, and closeout
- Establish and maintain project schedules and budgets, and manage overall project delivery
- Ensure contractor compliance of life safety/OSHA requirements are met on all job sites to minimize risk
- Assist in submittal process, change order negotiations, and contract compliance
- Data entry for cost monitoring and reporting systems
- Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors
- Work with Senior Project Manager and Controller on monitoring and reporting on project costs to establish percentage of completion
- Work with field manager and foremen to coordinate labor and staffing
- Assist with project invoicing and statutory declarations; work with accounting department to monitor outstanding receivables
- Communicate with contractors/owners regarding outstanding billables/receivables
- Establish effective relationships and strive for a collaborative team environment with coworkers
- Other duties as assigned by Senior Project Manager
**Qualifications and Requirements**
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a junior project manager or 3+ years' experience as a project coordinator
- Post secondary degree in construction management, engineering, business, or a combination of relevant education and experience
- Must have experience in industrial, commercial, and institutional (ICI) new construction
- Proficient knowledge in Procore is a must
- Knowledge of Bluebeam and Accubid would be an asset
- Ability to manage projects with $250K-$2M value or higher
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, inspection reports etc.
- Proficient knowledge of construction site processes, especially large institutional new construction
- Journeyman trade certification in Plumbing or a related field would be an asset
- Good general knowledge of all Plumbing and Heating including knowledge of the most recent BC Plumbing Code
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Fluent in English language
- Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a criminal record check
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, Power Point, Word, Outlook)
Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
