**Waste Audit & Analysis Coordinator**
Our client is a Winnipeg based organization that has been a leading pioneer in the recycling and sustainability field. Known for their conceptualization, design and delivery of complex programs, our team is excited to assist in the search for a Waste Audit & Analysis Coordinator to join their growing team.
This position reports to the Senior Manager of Programs and is responsible for coordinating waste audits for the Recycle Everywhere program in Manitoba and Ontario. This position will focus on tracking program performance and will support services through waste audits, thoughtful expertise related to the circular economy and EPR, and developing waste audit projects and services. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to environmental sustainability while advancing your career in a rapidly growing and evolving industry.
**Responsibilities**
- Plan and execute waste audits, including budgeting, location planning, management of the waste auditing team, and equipment management.
- Oversee a team of casual staff hired for waste audits.
- Process and analyze incoming data from waste audits.
- Prepare detailed audit reports, including summaries of findings, data visualizations, and actionable recommendations to improve program outcomes and optimize waste reduction initiatives.
- Review audit reports and utilize data to compare annual success.
- Compose, circulate, and evaluate RFQ’s.
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Manager of Programs and other internal stakeholders to align waste audit goals with broader sustainability and program objectives.
- Oversee and lease with third party contractors.
- Ensure all audits comply with safety standards and environmental regulations, implementing best practices to mitigate risks during fieldwork.
- Participates in waste audits as needed, including occasional evenings and weekends.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Skills & Qualifications**
- Minimum 2 years experience with data analysis.
- Relevant experience in waste audits, waste management, environmental sustainability, or similar areas would be considered an asset.
- Post-secondary education in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Exceptional excel knowledge and skills.
- Experience supervising others.
- Superior time management and organizational skills.
- Supervisory and communication skills required to support the waste audit team.
- Support the waste audit team in solving scheduling issues, onsite challenges or other needs.
- Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time and meet competing deadlines.
- Effectively work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to work flexible hours to meet deadlines as required.
- Access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s license is an asset for this role but not required.
- Familiarity with waste management and recycling programs is a definite asset.
