**Athabasca University's Faculty of Science and Technologyis currently recruiting for the position of Student Support Administrator.**

As part of Athabasca University's workspace optimization, this role has been assessed to be**Virtual with Place-Based Functions**.

While this role can be primarily performed in a virtual environment, there are some functions that will require the incumbent to come into AU's place-based location in Athabasca. The frequencyof times requiring the incumbentto be in AU's place-based location will be determined by their supervisor in collaboration with the incumbent.

Athabasca is located in the heart of Alberta's boreal forest on the banks of the Athabasca River. The vibrant town of Athabasca is a welcoming picturesque community situated approximately 150km north of Edmonton, Alberta. **The Position**:
The Student Support Administrator is to provide a consistently excellent level of service to students through accurateand timely processing, academic support, and general student support.The Student Support Administrator will also assist with outreach and proactive activities to students starting courses and programs.

**Qualifications**:

- Some Post-secondary training required, and Undergraduate degree preferred.
- Two years' experience in a post-secondary setting, preferably in student or customer service.
- A working knowledge of computer operating systems such as, 0365 including Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Dynamics, Excel, PowerPoint, Banner, Internet, Much Learning, and Mobius is recommend.
- Excellent interpersonal, administrative, communication, time management and organizational skills required.
- Ability to work as part of a team to facilitate the student' s learning process essential.
- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines essential.
- Excellent knowledge of English grammar critical.
- Experience in a post-secondary environment with exposure to academic systems such as: Student records system (Banner), Relationship Management system (CRM), Library systems, Registry systems, Learning Services (Tutorial)systems, Finance systems, Media production and Course Materials would be considered an asset.
- Extensive knowledge of AU's policies and procedures and academic courses and programs considered an asset.
- Equivalent education and experience or a combination of these may be considered.
