PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Network Operations Resource Supervisor role aims at facilitating the sharing of information regarding but not limited to any crewing and transportation issues on a real-time basis with customer in the Network Operations Center, Alstom Management and Supervisory teams. The role is also the first point of contact in the coordination efforts for remedial planning and execution in managing service disruption, crewing events and coordination between the Network Operations Center, Crew Dispatching Center, Transportation Office and the Operations office during Incident response.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

Operational Safety and Train Service Provision
- Coordinate communications between the Network Operations Center, Crew Dispatch Office, Transportation Office and the OPS office when an operational safety event or incident occurs.
- Provide updated crewing/transportation information and any issues that could have an impact to operations.
- Keep Alstom Leadership team updated via Alstom Network Operations live reporting messaging function.
- Work with Crew Dispatchers, Transportation Coordinators and Alstom Operations in resolving any crewing/transportation or operational issues.
- Monitor crew hours during delays and proactively identify areas of concern.
- Highlight the need to utilize standbys and whether any are available to NOC.
- Vehicle positioning and crew movement oversight.
- Location, availability, hour count of standby crews across day and network.
- Familiar with crew qualifications.

Administration
- Maintain and send out the Daily Alstom Log to all nominated stakeholders.
- Use of the Alstom Network Operations live reporting messaging function.
- This position will take an active role in conference calls with Metrolinx and Alstom as required.
- The Network Operations Resource Supervisor will escalate any issues to the Alstom Network Operations Manager or Senior Manager in the NOC Manager’s absence.
- The NOC Resource Supervisor prepares any relevant reports as determined by the Network Operations Manager.

MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES

Experience

Mandatory:

- Experience of minimum 2 years Railway or other Control type function experience
- Customer Service / facing experience

Desirable:

- Crew Dispatch experience
- Customer Service experience
- Supervisory Skills and experience

Competencies & Skills
- Collective Bargaining Arrangements knowledge
- Good communicator
- Customer Orientated
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills: collaborative approach, listening, transparency, ability to convince.
