Manager of Network Operations

As the Manager of Network Operations, you will be at the forefront of designing, administering and managing the network infrastructure critical to our broadcasting operations. Your role encompasses ensuring the seamless delivery of virtual advertising during live sports events, with a strong focus on broadcast-specific networking skills, particularly for video and control. Additionally, you will be responsible for the strategic planning and development of networks and IT infrastructure to support operational networks and operating galleries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the administration of network operations, ensuring robustness and reliability of our broadcast network
- Oversee and manage the on-premises servers in various facilities, used to deliver the Supponor service
- Coordinate cloud resources as agreed with the product and operational teams
- Develop strategic plans for network and IT infrastructure to support operational networks and operating galleries
- Implement and manage network solutions for live video streaming and control in a broadcast environment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate networking solutions with our virtual advertising technology
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide solutions to optimize network efficiency and quality of service
- Develop and maintain documentation related to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records
- Ensure compliance with broadcasting standards and regulations
- Train and mentor team members in network operations, planning, and best practices in broadcast technology
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in network technology and broadcasting to drive continuous improvement and innovation
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network administration, with a focus on broadcasting
- Proven experience in planning and developing network and IT infrastructure for broadcast operations
- In-depth knowledge of network infrastructure, including experience with video and control networking in a broadcast environment
- Strong understanding of live sports broadcasting and virtual advertising technologies
- Proficient in network troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment and adapt to changing technologies and requirements
