Service Technician

**Job description**
Carleton Environmental Services (CES) is looking for **full-time Service Technicians **to join our team. CES is a family owned and operated business located in rural South Ottawa. We have proudly been serving the community, providing expert and trustworthy waste management and sanitation services to Ottawa and surrounding areas since 1957. Our waste management services include commercial and residential septic pumping services, portable toilet rentals, and grease trap servicing and maintenance. The CES team is customer service focused and committed to providing timely, superior services and products for our clients.
**Service Technicians** will be responsible for driving a truck, completing service routes, cleaning and stocking supplies for portable toilet rentals, cleaning trucks, and assisting with rental inventory. Service Technicians are the face of CES for our portable toilet rental customers; they must be respectful, tidy, ensure quality service standards, and proactively address customer concerns. Service Technicians will begin and end their work day at our Yard, but will spend the majority of their work day traveling to complete service routes throughout Ottawa.
**Experience and Skills**
- Must have a valid G class drivers license. An A or DZ license would be an asset (not required).
- Must have experience in the safe operation of vehicles and equipment.
- Must have reliable transport to attend work.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Work will be physical and fast-paced.
- Must be willing to work under varying weather conditions (e.g. outside in the heat during summer and in the cold during winter).
- Must be motivated and able to work well independently.
- Must be conscientious and have exceptional attention to detail.
- Must be able to take direction and follow company policies / procedures.
- Experience in customer service environment would be an asset.
- Sanitation experience would be an asset; however, sanitation training will be provided because all services must be completed to the highest standard.

**Salary**: Service Technicians: starting at $22.00 per hour (negotiable depending on skills and experience).
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 50 per week
