Are you interested in becoming a **Sushi Chef** at one of the best local sushi restaurant? We invite you to join **MAKI SUSHI & NOODLE **team Please read the followings to learn more about your daily tasks.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Maintain kitchen areas with special attention to sanitation
- Exhibit culinary skills by performing day-to-day tasks, and assisting sushi chefs
- Evaluate quality of food product, prep items and final menu items being served to guests
- Prepare sushi in the front of the house
- Comply with Maki Sushi's food safety and hygiene standards
- Other duties to assist Head Chef
**REQUIREMENTS**
Experience
- Basic kitchen knowledge required
- Experience in other sushi restaurants are welcomed but not required
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong communication skills in English
- Energetic - ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team player - assist in a positive guest experience however necessary
- Culinary - have basic culinary knowledge and prepare ingredients based on the instructions
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed
COVID-19 considerations:
All customers and staffs are required to wear a mask, in-store pickup is available, common surfaces are sanitized regularly, and full vaccination is required.
**Experience**:
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Cooking: 1 year (preferred)
