**Responsibilities**:
You are highly creative and collaborative, and not afraid to think outside of the box and solicit feedback from others. You are exceptionally detail oriented, with an eye for design and constantly seeking out new ways of effectively sharing information. You also are resourceful and results-oriented, constantly seeking the best approach to achieve results. Finally, you are a strong team player who is excited about working with a wide range of people, including researchers and business leaders.

In this role, you will work closely with the Digital Marketing Specialist to amplify the work of Innovation North and position the organization as a global social movement. You will primarily focus on social media management and video content creation for up to 10-15 hours/week, however there is lots of room to grow and take on additional responsibilities.

**Responsibilities**:
In this role, you can expect to:

- Co-develop a social media strategy to increase brand awareness, build an engaged following, and position Innovation North as a global social movement
- Execute on the strategy by conceptualizing, designing, and scheduling posts for LinkedIn and Instagram in Canva and Hootsuite
- Engage with followers by responding to shares and comments as well as cross-posting content and tagging likeminded organizations
- Measure social media performance by reporting monthly analytics and offering recommendations to adjust our social media strategy accordingly
- Create engaging video content for both social media and Innovation North’s website using storytelling
- Provide support designing and updating collateral such as PowerPoints, Miro boards, reports, etc. where needed

**Qualifications**:
Education
- Undergraduate or Master’s degree (in progress) in a relevant area of focus (Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Media Studies, Business Administration)

Experience
- Experience working with a wide variety of digital marketing tools such as graphic design and video editing software is a must
- Experience with digital marketing in a field related to sustainability, business, and/or innovation is preferred

Skills & Abilities
- Highly active on social media and up-to-speed on emerging trends
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both academic and business audiences
- Feedback-seeking and able to make recommendations for improvement
- Ability to make connections and appropriately represent our brand
- Tech savvy and comfortable with learning new digital technologies
- An eye for design, user experience, and accessibility
- Strong critical thinking and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and seek clarification when needed
