Bureau Veritas is looking for a **Sample Receipt Administrator, Analyst 1**

Perform all procedures related to sample receipt within timeframe stated in company contract, in order to ensure proper continuity. This position also includes administrative functions.

**Job Duties**
- Liaison with both Customer Service and Lab Analysts to resolve client request issues and/or concerns
- Accountable for proper storage of all samples to prevent deterioration or loss
- Receive all samples and enter in LIMS within contracted timeframe, forward sample to lab staff for processing
- Maintain accurate notes and pass any comments/changes on submission forms to Customer Service or Analyst 2
- Update sample tracking spreadsheets as means of communicating sample status with Customer Service and Lab Staff and Analysts
- Monitor humidity level in hair storage rooms, and freezer temperatures in warehouse and walk in
- Maintain good housekeeping practices for lab areas and personal office space, in order to maintain safe and organized working environment
- Assist Customer Service with electronic files for daily Data Transmission
- Assist in training of staff in login, filing and storage duties
- Participate, as required, in the development / validation of new procedures and / or instrumentation
- Contribute to quality, process and cost improvement initiatives in all areas of the laboratory
- Assess and correct problems with all registry related laboratory operations according to SOP and WI guidelines and ISO 17025 regulation criteria. Report problems and corrections to the Supervisor
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**
- High level of attention to detail
- Independent worker
- Sound knowledge and experience in procedures specifically related to sample receipt, inventory and storage Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Experience in sample handling procedures to avoid contamination, loss alteration or degradation of samples
- Works closely with Customer Service and IT to minimize errors or help to detect errors before results are sent to clients
- Competent knowledge of LIMS and responsible for conveying relevant details/comments
- Able to prioritize and multi-task; strong organizational skills
- Flexible to accommodate changing priorities
- Basic knowledge of lab procedures required for specific sample type processing
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to work within a team environment
