**Summary**
The Community Foundation for Kingston & Area (CFKA) is committed to improving the health and social wellbeing of our community. This includes efforts to limit the negative health and social outcomes for of seniors experiencing isolation and loneliness and to support a sense of belonging for seniors in our community. A significant donation from the Sisters of Providence of St. Vincent de Paul will fund efforts directed towards the development and growth of the community’s capacity to foster, strengthen and optimize individual and collective contributions by seniors-serving community agencies, seniors and others in the Kingston area. As a key partner, CFKA is seeking a Project Manager to work half-time, over two (2) years, to support and manage the work required to set up and develop this initiative, by facilitating collaboration with and amongst relevant community agencies and seniors in the Kingston area.

**Responsibilities**:
Works with collaborating community agencies and their relevant planning bodies; reports administratively to the CFKA Executive Director; and liaises with CFKA Board, through its SIB Lead, to:

- Plan and execute an environmental scan/identification of key partners in the seniors’ services sector across KFL&A
- Conduct local community research, including gathering and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data from secondary sources, developing surveys, hosting focus groups and/or key informant interviews, and reporting findings.
- Support the development of a 5-year strategy for the SIB project, with a prospective work plan and recommended structure for involving joint and individual initiatives.
- Plan, Chair and facilitate meetings where appropriate
- Identify common ground and joint interests within the seniors’ services sector as focal points for development.
- Develop granting criteria by which organizations may be invited to seek SIB funding from CFKA.
- Develop an evaluation framework to review projects that are funded by SIB.
- Plan and coordinate knowledge mobilization activities that will broaden and disseminate the aims of this strategy and the implementation of its associated programs.
- Plan special events and training opportunities in volunteer associations, health and social service organizations, workplaces, and the community-at-large.
- Develop and foster relationships with community members and key partners, including, but not limited to, social service agencies, health care entities, volunteer associations municipalities, boards of education, law enforcement, business organizations, and worksites.
- Develop an overarching communication strategy by which relevant groups and the interested public will be kept aware of the progress to date
- Liaise with provincial leaders and other organizations or groups involved in similar work
- Function as the administrative repository of the status of the strategy and its work plans
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports and document collaborative discussions and decisions.
- Distribute reports and minutes as required.
- Document and follow up on execution of important actions and decisions from meetings.

Undertake other tasks, as required.

**Qualifications**:
**Education and Experience**:
Master’s degree, or equivalent, in relevant field (e.g., Master of Public Health, Master of Social Work)

**Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities**:

- Interest in Seniors’ issues and concerns
- Experience in working with community groups on strategic planning and community development initiatives
- Experience in program planning and supporting collaborative work
- Experience conducting literature reviews and secondary research
- Experience designing and conducting program evaluations
- Experience with designing and executing a range of primary research methods, including survey development, focus groups, key information interviews, qualitative and quantitative data analysis and interpretation
- Knowledge of Kingston area community and its agencies and organizations
- Demonstrated team building skills
- Initiative and ability to work independently
- Effective time-management and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and efficient
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and virtual meeting platforms
- Understanding of how to use social media as a communication tool, an asset
