**PROJECT COORDINATOR**

**The Project Coordinator works under the supervision of the Chair of the Youville Residential School Truthing Committee. The Project Coordinator will assist with administrative and coordinating tasks as part of Youville Residential School Truthing Initiative with other staff including elder advisor, administrative staff and research team. This work will contribute towards locating previous Youville Residential School unmarked burial sites within the City of St. Albert.**

**Responsibilities**:
▪ Information gathering for estimating costs / tasks project related, as assigned.

▪ Project coordination and documentation including attending project related meetings, assisting in coordinating and scheduling gatherings/meetings.

▪ Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders includes Youville Residential School Truthing

Team, St. Albert M**ét**is Local 1904 and any other First Nations /communities involved.

▪ Assist the Project Lead with monthly reporting.

▪ Assist with monitoring project related costs and financial reports.

▪ Liaison with the Residential Survivors, other organizations and inquiring public.

▪ Assist with project related financial documentation by ensuring costs is accurate and appropriate, as directed by the Project Lead or Treasurer includes receipts, invoices, honoraria, contracts, as assigned.

▪ Conduct administrative tasks including submitting project expenses, scheduling meetings, taking minutes, tracking office supplies and equipment inventory and other administrative tasks, as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary certification or diploma in community engagement, communication, administration or in related field.
- Minimum three years’ experience working in public sector, vulnerable population, PR, event planning or related field is preferred.
- Ability to work in a culturally sensitive work environment.
- Ability to speak /write in Indigenous language would be an asset.
- Ability to work in a culturally sensitive work environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (oral / written), prioritization, organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and perform work with accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a professional and ethical manner in accordance with the policies and procedures.
- Must provide a clear criminal record check/ vulnerable sector check upon hiring.
- Must have a class 5 license / vehicle; office location has limited public transportation.
