**Job Title: Project Coordinator (Youville Residential School Truthing Initiative)**

The Project Coordinator will assist with the administrative, planning and coordinating tasks as part of Youville Residential School Truthing Initiative. This project includes Elder Advisors, Administrative personnel and Research team members. This work will contribute towards locating previous Youville Residential School unmarked burial sites within the City of St. Albert.

**Responsibilities**:
Identify the First Nations, Métis, and Inuit impacted by the initiative.

Establish an Advisory Committee which includes Elders and representatives from the community of St. Albert, First Nations, Métis and Inuit to assist in guiding the initiative.

Establish and maintain a good working relationship and communication with the stakeholders and groups involved in the project such as the Métis Local 1904 Board Members, Ground Penetrating Agency, Indigenous culture resources, etc.

Develop and implement the project workplan. Support project coordination and documentation activities including attending project meetings and coordinating, scheduling and communication specific to gatherings, meetings and working groups for the project.

Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders that include the Youville Residential School Truthing Initiative Team, Métis Local 1904 Board and community and the First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities involved.

Assist with project related financial documentation by ensuring a process for tracking costs is created and supported by Project Lead and/or local Treasurer. This includes tracking receipts, invoices, honoraria, contracts, as assigned.

Conduct administrative tasks that support coordination and tracking of project expenses, meetings, documentation of minutes and other administrative tasks, as required. Communicate program updates and progress to the board.

**Preferred Requirements**:
At least 3 years experience in project management/ coordination. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred but is not required (e.g., business administration, social sciences) or diploma in communications, community engagement or administration.

Strong knowledge of the First Nations, Métis and Inuit culture and work experience. Ability to work in a culturally sensitive work environment. Ability to speak /write in Indigenous language would be an asset.

Excellent interpersonal, communication (oral / written), prioritization, organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multi-task and perform work with accuracy.
Working knowledge of Michif and/or Cree language. Working knowledge in grant writing. General knowledge of Metis Culture, history, politics, and traditions as well as trauma informed principles and understanding of grass roots community work.

Knowledge of administrative processes and procedures and previous experience working with Non-profit board is an asset. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Must provide a clear criminal record check/ vulnerable sector check, upon hiring.

Must have a class 5 license / vehicle; office location has limited public transportation.

**Salary**: From $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 38 per week
