**Overview**:Provides leadership and structure in the day-to-day operations of the home, in a respectful and inclusive manner. Provides ongoing supervision of caregivers and evaluates needs of the home and youth.

Reports to Management Team.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**

1. Together with management, identifies, develops, evaluates, implements, and follows house goals, objectives, policies, and procedures, and ensures the required standards are maintained specific to the youth and home.

2. Identifies both facilities and program needs of the house to management.

3. Supervises house caregivers including quarterly supervision reviews, provides management input for caregiver evaluations, and monitors daily operations.

4. Identifies the needs of caregivers for professional development.

5. Provides guidance, training and orientation on policies, procedures, protocols, approaches, report preparation or other matters arising in the home.

6. Collaborates with youths’ family and community care team in developing care plans and the preparation of related documents and reports and disseminates information to the caregivers. Completes BCS care plan for the youth.

7. Is accountable for monitoring, authorizing, and allocating expenditures within the monthly budget. Prepares and maintains related documentation.

8. Liaises and collaborates with the community, government, families, officials, professionals, and organization caregivers and promotes community involvement in BCS.

9. Ensures the cleanliness, safety, security, and maintenance of the home in accordance with community standards and BCS policies and procedures.

10. Maintains the homes inventory of household supplies, including groceries, health, and safety supplies, etc.

11. Provides direct care performing the duties as required.

12. Performs other related duties as required.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum one year full time experience in working in youth care homes and / or related education.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to take initiative, motivate a team and develop a positive work culture.
- Ability to build rapport with youths.
- Familiar with trauma informed care, caring for persons with complex care needs and harm reduction.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and meal preparation techniques.
- Commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those under your care

Pay: $32.79-$33.88 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
