As the Business Analyst within Data & Analytics (D&A), you will act as the conduit between D&A and various business functions. You will assist with our data foundational & business driven projects by eliciting and analyzing requirements, liaising between business and technical resources, and documenting business processes or systems and their integration. You can quickly absorb new and different types of information, modify, and adapt existing knowledge, and work in a changing and evolving environment, to ensure successful project delivery using agile or other methodologies as directed. You are a critical thinker who enjoys diving into the details and seeking to understand the “how” and “why”.

- The Data & Analytics team collaborates closely with business partners and internally within our team to build scalable products for consumptions via standard reporting mechanisms. We as a unit are responsible for understanding the business needs and implementing standardized solutions. As our organization grows, we will build the foundations of the analytics data platform, enabling it to become increasingly data driven.

**If you were the Business Analyst, Data & Analytics now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing**:

- Leading the discovery of new data foundational and/or business-initiated projects and gathering requirements using effective business analysis techniques
- Consulting with stakeholders and acting as a conduit between stakeholders and the technical squad including Architect, Technical Team etc.
- Translating business requirements into detailed and actionable specifications and requirements documents
- Creating understandable visual representations to communicate complex concepts and models for various target audiences
- Documenting business processes during the investigation and discovery with stakeholders or other parties to create certified documents used by the enterprise in terms of functional knowledge
- Organizing and facilitating user acceptance testing with business users
- Identifying and documenting current and future business process, changes, and improvements to facilitate change management
- Facilitating and managing stakeholder engagement

**Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future**:

- Developing, updating, and embedding your extensive expertise on business areas & technologies in scope within the Data & Analytics team
- Organizing and leading product demo sessions, coordinating user training, arranging reporting requirements that align with business processes and decision making
- Being the face of D&A team with the business and advocating our products, change management etc.
- Assisting the D&A leadership team with other tasks and projects as required

**Are you our next Business Analyst, Data & Analytics?**:

- You have a Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary education in business, information systems or a relevant field, completion of a recognized Business Analysis program, and/or equivalent business experience
- You have 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, related to Data & Analytics
- You have experience with working in Agile/waterfall methodologies
- You are familiar with the Data & Analytics product lifecycle
- You possess a high level of analytical and critical thinking
- You have a solid understanding of data models (ERDs)
- You have strong SQL knowledge
- You have experience working in Power Automate
- You have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of stakeholders to be able to explain, articulate, and document concepts, business processes, systems, and business requirements efficiently
- You have strong organization and prioritization skills while managing multiple, competing priorities
- You have the ability to understand the business processes in the technical landscape of Data & Analytics and help translate into an actionable document for the development team
- You have experience using JIRA
- You have retail and/or sporting goods industry experience
- You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
- You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
- You can balance autonomy and collaboration
- You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement
- You seek the best (but sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
