We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our manufacturing team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The Manufacturing Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment, maintaining product quality, and adhering to all safety regulations. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
This is a new position, a recently developed process, and a relatively new company, so at Universal Matter, you will be given the opportunity to participate and join in the growth stage of a start-up company and contribute at all levels to make an impact.
**Responsibilities**:
**Machine Operation and Maintenance**:
- Operate specified equipment according to company instructions and production procedures.
- Make running adjustments to machinery as required and attend to equipment throughout the production process.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks and report any malfunctions promptly to the appropriate authority.
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area to ensure a safe and organized environment.
**Quality Assurance**:
- Review products through the production process to identify defects and take appropriate actions to rectify them.
- Conduct quality inspections as necessary to ensure final products meet organizational standards.
- Provide feedback and maintenance requests to improve machine performance and product quality.
**Teamwork and Communication**:
- Work effectively as part of a team to ensure productivity, efficiency, and adherence to production schedules.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors both verbally and in writing.
- Participate in training opportunities and cross-training initiatives to enhance skills and knowledge.
**Safety and Compliance**:
- Adhere to all standard operating procedures and safety guidelines, including state and federal regulations.
- Use required safety equipment, such as steel-toed safety boots and safety glasses/goggles, at all times.
- Remain highly punctual and reliable, with the ability to work under pressure and deal with hazards associated with the trade.
**Qualifications**:
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Experience in an industrial/manufacturing settings is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a busy environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a diverse team.
- Flexibility to work flexible shifts, including rotating shifts and overtime as required.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50lbs), stand for long periods, and perform manual tasks requiring physical dexterity.
- Daily problem-solving, teamwork and autonomous work
- Working primarily in an indoor environment with potential exposure to variable temperatures and heights.

**Salary**: $22.00-$32.00 per hour
