The Risk Management Associate will work collaboratively with the Risk Management team assisting members of the team and/or the leaders as may be required to support departmental initiatives and/or projects.

Additionally, the Risk Management Associate will support the team with contract reviews, contract developments, contract management, and file management.

**Rate of Pay**: $27.34 per hour - $34.18 per hour

**Hours of Work**: 37.5 hours per week

**Qualifications**:

- Successful completion of a 2 year College Diplma in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, Business Insurance, Paralegal Graduate Certificate or equivalent acceptable by Hospital
- Minimum 5 years of recent, related experience
- Advanced knowledge of Health Care Law, along with applicable Legislations and Accreditation Standards _(preferred)_
- Demonstrated knowledge of foundations of risk management
- Demonstrates confidentiality and respect for privacy of patients and staff information
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficient knowledge of Cerner Patient Care System (Power-chart, Scheduling)
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Self-motivated, organized and eager to learn
- Ability to work independently
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC’s vision, purpose, and values
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis

**Immunization Requirements**:
Before beginning employment at LHSC, all new hires will be required to:

- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis;
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step);
- Provide proof of Health Canada-approved COVID-19 vaccination reflective of Ontario Health’s current definition of being fully vaccinated
