**Seniors Ministry and Community Pastor **(full time 40hrs/wk - permanent)

This position is responsible to minister to the congregation by providing leadership that cultivates a disciple-making culture, with an emphasis on Community life. This includes a special focus among seniors (age 65+), and leadership over our funeral ministry, weddings, West Campus baptism, and prayer ministry.

**Role responsibilities**:
Beulah Communities
- With Community & Care team, champion the vision and strategy of disciple-making, through Community life.
- Learn, adapt, and maintain best practices of disciple-making in community.
- Recruit, train, and coach leaders. Catalyze the creation of new Communities and facilitate multiplication.
- Collaborate in developing training and coaching content, systems, and initiatives.
- Monitor disciple-making fruitfulness through team analysis and reporting.

Seniors Ministry
- Oversee disciple-making and care ministry among senior adults, considering generational shifts.
- Oversee, recruit and coach volunteer teams to give one-on-one visits to seniors in need.
- Care for seniors who are unable to be part of in-person church gatherings.
- Oversee and coach volunteer teams to develop and implement programs for seniors that encourage spiritual, emotional and mental health.
- Evaluate disciple-making fruitfulness of programming in seniors ministry.

Weddings, Funerals & Baptism
- Pastoral support to couples seeking to be married at Beulah by a Beulah pastor. Oversee coordination of marrying pastor and integration of marriage preparation with wedding preparation.
- Pastoral support families grieving the loss of a loved one, and guidance in preparation for a funeral.
- Lead funeral services coordinating on-call pastors to lead funeral services.
- Oversee baptism strategy, monitor and improve as needed.

Prayer Ministry and “Deeper Life”
- Oversee, recruit and coach volunteers in Altar Prayer, Prayer-focus Weekends and Prayer Ministry Sessions.
- Oversee, recruit and coach volunteer team(s) to facilitate greater healing and wholeness in disciples of Jesus.

General Pastoral Duties
- Serve as a visible and accessible leadership presence at weekend services and other community gatherings.
- Provide scheduled POD (Pastor on Duty) support as required.
- Develop and maintain assigned ministry plans and budgets.

**What will make you thrive**:

- 5 or more years’ experience in ministry.
- Diploma from a credible Biblical Institution with emphasis in Theology, Biblical Studies, Missiology, or Christian Ministry, and a heart for ministry.
- Able to be fully licensed with the Christian and Missionary Alliance denomination in Canada.
- Aligned with Beulah's vision to awaken greater Edmonton to King Jesus.
- Working knowledge of disciple-making in Canadian culture for individual, group, and churchwide strategies.
- Can lead ministry through recruiting, equipping, mobilizing and coaching leaders who lead leaders of leaders.
- Primary spiritual gifts: leadership, shepherding.
- Excels in inspiring leaders, bringing enthusiasm for a shared vision.
- Strong communicator who is comfortable as a public speaker and facilitator of adult learning in various settings.
- Entrepreneurial, with demonstrated ability to develop and implement projects.
