**Position Summary**:
Directs, administers and coordinates all terminal activities (dispatch, operations, customer service and maintenance) with budget responsibilities, ensuring high levels of customer service, efficiency, productivity and safety as well as achievement of operational and financial goals and objectives.

**Please note that this position will be based out of 1041 Pierre-Bertrand Boulevard, Quebec City to start. The position will transition to new facility in Saint Augustin-de-Desmuares when building is completed (2023)**

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Develops and maintains professional customer and operations relations by identifying and meeting customer needs. Ensures that employees demonstrate customer service principles
- Develops short range business plans designed to achieve company goals and objectives
- Develops and operates within approval fiscal budget limits, ensuring targeted results
- Ensures that terminal accident prevention/safety and worker’s compensation programs and procedures are implemented, and that all employees are trained and managed effectively
- Ensures that all security procedures are developed and maintained
- Secures, evaluates and develops staff, and develops an organizational structure which will ensure the level of performance and productivity necessary to achieve current and future objectives
- Ensures that terminal staff works effectively as a team with each other and with other departments. Ensures effective and regular communication and high employee morale
- Keeps President and CEO informed of current operations status through regular communications and by issuing periodic reports
- Ensures positive relations with employees and that employee policies are understood and followed
- Develops, communicates and maintains operating and administrative procedures (consistent with area procedures and objectives designed to provide required information and facilitate internal practices)
- Ensures that all policies, procedures and controls are followed and that reports are completed accurately, submitted on time and to appropriate departments, customers and other designated personnel, and that appropriate staff and labour have a full understanding of these procedures
- Supports sales and marketing goals by participating in sales activities including new business development, ensuring long term customer contracts
- Ensures high levels of productivity and efficiently by assessing internal practices and procedures and by developing and executing appropriate plans, and directing the terminal activities
- Ensures that all equipment and tools are available and well maintained
- Completes other tasks and projects assigned

**Position Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 5-10(+) years of progressive management experience in the warehousing industry
- Knowledge of dispatch, planning and operations
- Working knowledge of budgeting and profit loss management
- Experience with computerized operating and financial systems
- Through knowledge of safety and accident prevention code and regulations and related industry governmental regulations
- Ability to work with high volumes and deadlines
- Ability to manage stress
- Ability to manage a large team
- Good computer skills
- Good interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
- Ability to listen and provide effective and timely feedback
- Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively
- Ability to operate a personal computer
- Ability to rapidly learn and perform tasks related to the department or units regulations, policies, rules, functions, procedures or processes
- Ability to communicate with others and assimilate and understand information to make sound decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions
