Reporting to the Director Professional Practice, the Professional Practice Consultant will provide organization-wide leadership for the advancement of professional practice in collaboration with the Professional Practice team, Informatics team, clinical leaders, Medical Affairs - credentialed professional staff (physicians, dentists, others) and Residents. You will provide collaborative leadership in relation to professional standards, problem solving regarding practice issues and system-wide projects and change initiatives. You will also provide consultation and coaching for individuals and teams.

The role includes specific accountabilities to engage Physician Champions and residents through establishing a Physician OneChart Community of Practice to support the ongoing digitization of St. Joseph’s patient health record (OneChart), including assessment of current clinical workflows and use of existing digital workflows, design recommendations for physician digital workflows, change management strategies and post-OneChart Phase II stabilization and optimization. As well, you will be facilitating the development of structures, systems, resources to support and advance physician and other credentialed professional staff clinical practices as it relates to the functions of OneChart physician documentation and other supporting functionalities.

You will consider the interrelationships of the models of care spanning physicians, nursing and allied health roles and engage with the professional practice consultants supporting nursing and allied health as part of the OneChart Phase II digitization project. The role requires the appreciation and understanding of the scopes of practice of various clinical roles in order to facilitate clinical model of care reviews, ensuring an interprofessional approach to care.

Following the conclusion of the OneChart Phase II digitization project, you will be responsible for supporting Medical Affairs and credentialed professional staff with the ongoing sustainment and enhancement of new digital tools for physicians and ongoing sustainment of collaboration structures including the Physician OneChart Community of Practice.

Success in the role will depend upon the development of effective relationships with credentialed professional staff, leaders and other teams, both internal and external to the organization. In addition, you will be required to help translate relevant data and trends into meaningful information within a shared leadership environment.

**Essential Qualifications**
- Relevant Masters degree
- Current registration with a Professional College
- Member of Professional Associations and specialty or interest group affiliations
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership role in project work with an emphasis upon the evaluation of outcomes
- Demonstrated experience in documentation and/or electronic health record systems implementation
- Effective consultation, change management and coaching skills
- Strong knowledge foundation and demonstrated experience in research, research utilization and the promotion of evidence-based practices
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in team development in a health care setting
- Strong knowledge, skills and experience in areas of professional standards, legislation and professional practice
- Sound problem solving, negotiation, project management, research and teaching skills
- Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Regulated Health Care Professional
- Proficiency in French would be an asset

**Immunization Requirements**
- Provide documentation you have received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine (primary series, boosters and/or XBB) OR one dose of XBB vaccine at least 14 days prior to the start date.
- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox)
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
