If you're looking for a challenge and crave high accountability while working with a team of A-players, we want you to be a key player in our Warehouse Management team We are Advanced Material Handling, are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Warehouse Manager to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee shipping/receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations.
- Complies with federal, provincial, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements including forklift certification.
- Liaise with customers and transport companies.
- Maintains cleanliness, daily cycle, and physical counts, and inspecting equipment.
- Investigate and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of all inventories.
- Monitor delivery schedule and customer orders.
- Communicate with sales staff regarding order status and any discrepancies.
- Train other employees in warehouse operations.
- Manage the reception, handling, distribution, and storage of all freight, product, and supplies that come in and out of warehouse.
- Communicate all delays or variances in inbound/outbound freight to the appropriate parties.
- Plan warehouse layout and space requirements in order to prevent loss or damage, and to achieve full warehouse optimization; take into account full implications of product turnover, size, weight, and other factors when allocating warehouse space.
- Develop, implement, and monitor warehouse processes and procedures.
- Facilitate the flow of documents into the office in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as required.
Credentials & Experience:
- At least 3+ years in warehouse management.
- Similar experience for a manufacturing company.
- Experience with warehouse management systems including bar coding and RFID.
- Working knowledge of trucks, trailers, and freight equipment. Experience in managing third-party logistics providers.
- Knowledge of project management principals; experience managing projects considered an asset.
- Strong analytical, strategic, and decision-making skills.
- Sense of urgency, detail oriented and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Team leadership and building abilities.
- Excellent planning and resource allocation skills.
- Effective computer skills with ability to use software such as Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
- Effective communication skills, written and verbal.
