**Job Overview**

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Coordinator to join our team. As a Material Coordinator, you will be responsible for optimizing the movement, storage, and distribution of materials within the pipe fabrication company. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the efficient flow of materials through various stages of production, contributing to overall operational effectiveness.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Coordinate the movement and storage of materials, including raw materials, fabricated pipes, and related supplies, within the pipe fabrication facility
- Work closely with production teams to ensure materials are readily available to meet project requirements and production schedules
- Perform necessary inspections and quality checks of incoming materials to ensure they meet quality standards and compliance with specifications
- Initiate work packages to be releasing to warehouse for allocation
- Completes material takeoffs and works with vendors to receive quotes and purchases materials
- Receive material into internal database
- Coordinates materials for delivery to the shop
- Tracks the allocation of materials, general material usage, consumption rates, and waste reduction efforts
- Verify materials allocated by warehouse are correct
- Transfer relevant information from warehouse to fabrication shop for work
- Monitors received material and matches to purchase orders
- Searches inventory records to determine if enough material quantity is on hand
- Follows-up with vendors and internal sources to confirm and schedule incoming material delivery
- Collaborate with the project management team to enhance material management processes and procedures, seeking opportunities for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

**Qualifications/Skills**
- Proven experience in material coordination or a similar role within the pipe fabrication industry
- Knowledge of pipe fabrication materials, processes, and safety requirements
- Familiarity with inventory management software and tools
- Microsoft Office suite proficiency is required
- High School diploma is required
- Materials Engineering Technologist Diploma would be considered an asset
- Possess superior organizational skills
- Capability to perform routine tasks with a high level of accuracy
- Able to thrive working in a fast-paced environment
- Adaptability
- Uphold a high level of professionalism
- Strong time and self-management are required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $27.00-$42.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
