**REPORTING TO**

In this supervisory level role, you’ll report directly to the Leadership Team of The June Motel.

**SUMMARY OF POSITION**

The Property Manager is responsible for leading the daily operations to ensure The June’s service and quality standards are being upheld. Duties will include guiding staff at the Motel, executing our guests’ in-room experience, overseeing laundry, managing inventory, and ensuring that the property is looking its best with the maintenance companies/personnel.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Lead and supervise the day-to-day operation of the property to ensure service standards are followed (including checking guest rooms, use of style guides, music/volume management, overall cleanliness)
- Handle guest concerns and react quickly, keeping a log and communicating to the appropriate colleagues for follow up
- Clean and stage guest rooms for arriving guests using the property style guide
- Ensure that rooms receive ‘stay over service’ as requested for multi-night stays
- Manage the contactless check-in procedure for arriving guests
- Set-up the evening fireside experience on the back patio(s)
- Ensure the Sauna is cleaned daily and set to the correct temperature
- Ensure that the property overall is set-up to the standards provided (including yard games, firepit placements, furniture placements, décor, resetting campfires)
- Welcoming group bookings to the property and ensuring that they have everything required for their stay (water stations, meeting spaces, catering coordination)
- Set-up spaces as required for group dinners and functions in conjunction with the Guest Services Team
- Guest facing snow removal as required (walkways, firepit area, sauna, stairs etc.)
- Scheduling on-site staff and cleaning services as required
- Assisting with laundry as required
- Liaise with the June Motel leadership team to provide updates as required
- Report and document necessary maintenance issues, ensuring seamless communication with maintenance and leadership teams
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Actively participate in establishing and upholding all motel sustainability policies and initiatives
- Work with Central Services on inventory management by tracking and ordering standardized products as required through use of inventory tracking
- Conducting audits of rooms, including reviewing and updating room status through our Property Management System, managing time and mobilizing team accordingly
- Managing deep clean and Property Maintenance calendar and documenting ongoing tasks appropriately
- Ensuring rooms are stocked with any on-arrival requests from guests, including items such as VIP Gifts or group room drops
- Maintain a proper lost and found procedure with documentation
- Ensure that The June Motel’s policies and procedures are followed
- Carry out any other tasks as assigned

**PREREQUISITES**
- A flexible schedule is required, including weekends and holidays
- A physical working environment with walking, stair climbing, bending, reaching, lifting (approx. 30 lbs) required

**SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS**
- Proven ability to motivate others through leading by example
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
- A high degree of attention to detail and professionalism
- A secondary school diploma is preferred
- Formal training in tourism is an asset
- Previous experience in a hotel/motel supervisory position is an asset
- Written and verbal fluency in English
- Working knowledge and interest in hospitality technology including Property Management Systems and experience with digital locks is an asset
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace is an asset

**DETAILS & COMPENSATION**
- **Start date**:Monday January 15th, 2024
- **Annual Salary**:starting at $50,000 based on experience
- **Hours**: Approximately 40-50 hours per week
