**Working for the Department/Faculty
Professors in the Faculties of Science and Arts of the University of Alberta are seeking a Project Coordinator to help oversee the production of a video game credential. For over twenty years, the University of Alberta has been a world leader in computer game research and teaching. This new initiative will bring training in computer game design to a broader audience, allowing Albertans, Canadians, and others to develop their employable skills in the growing video games industry.

**Position**

**Duties**
- Work with faculty members, curriculum experts, artists, programmers, and industry experts;
- Create and manage project schedules and resource plans;
- Track deliverables to ensure that the project is completed on time and on budget;
- Manage daily tasks of the interdisciplinary team;
- Assist immediately with all aspects of the study as needed providing project coordination capacity;
- Assist with monitoring completion of research activities by casual research assistant(s);
- Identify challenges and propose solutions proactively to ensure the project remains on track;
- Communicate with stakeholders to ensure the project goals are met;
- Trouble-shoot and problem-solve issues as they arise; and
- Develop a marketing plan with appropriate stakeholders to promote the project.

**Minimum Qualifications**
- A minimum of an undergraduate degree or equivalent with 2+ years of experience in project management;
- Excellent knowledge of project management methods and practices;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Excellent writing and communication skills; and
- Excellent knowledge of video games.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Master’s degree or equivalent preferred.
