The opportunity

Working within our Contract Administration team, the Bilingual Recovery Coordinator is responsible for facilitating the recovery of asset(s) resulting from a default on the contract. Additionally, you will provide and maintain excellent customer service with both internal and external customers; and enhance the recovery and liquidation of assets by mitigating risks and minimizing loss exposure.

Accountabilities:
- Coordinate the recovery and transportation of assets with a dedicated list of external recovery agents (bailiffs, liquidators and other vendors) in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as collection/debt repayment regulations.- Provide recovery agents with the necessary and accurate information to ensure successful recovery of assets.- Manage recovery files, analyzing and making decisions with respect to best practices (i.e. recovery, write off, legal action).- Negotiate payment plans, settlements and equipment returns; weighing out risk/loss versus gain.- Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with company or regulatory standards and policies.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Fluent in French and English, (written and verbal)- 2 years of experience in: Administration, Collections and/or Financial Services- Business Administration diploma or equivalent training- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills- Strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders- Keen attention to detail with proven experience maintaining accurate documentation- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, work independently and thrive in a rapidly changing environment- Capability to think proactively and resolve problems logically and efficiently-
- Working knowledge of compliance laws pertaining to Collections would be considered and a strong asset
