**Short Description**

As the Records & Information Analyst, you will implement and maintain the corporate-wide

Records and Information Management Program, including electronic and physical records, and provide support to the Strategic Planning, Risk & Policy unit.

**Job Duties**

Leads the development of the Corporate electronic records management program. Administers security access controls for electronic and/or physical records, including access to inactive record storage facilities. Collaborates with IT services to identify and implement opportunities for improvement of new or enhanced information management systems or programs focused on document management.

Administers all activities involved with the care of SaskWater’s records, including physical and electronic, from their creation, preservation, disposal and/or long-term storage, providing advice and recommendations to the Manager, Strategic Planning, Risk & Policy. Establishes tools for the proper inventory of records and any other tools to support records and information management implementation. Leads the development and maintenance of records classification and retention schedules to meet legislative, regulatory and business requirements. Identifies and prepares required documentation for corporate records requiring disposition and liaises with the

Provincial Archives of Saskatchewan for archival approvals. Collaborates with legal counsel on the legal hold process and other vital records for disposition requiring legal consultation.

Researches and recommends solutions for record storage facilities. Sorts and files documents according to established filing systems and maintains record registers.

Identifies opportunities for record and information management process improvements and completes assigned projects. Develops, implements and maintains policy, procedures, guidelines and standards to ensure consistent documented methods for records management and provides a framework for employees to manage their records. Represents SaskWater with other government and other external agencies regarding records and information management.

Supports the maintenance of corporate policies and procedures and assists other business units to understand corporate policy requirements. Maintains external research material (i.e., WRF,

AWWA Standards and Manuals, etc.) on the corporate Intranet and in the corporate Resource

Centre. Supports other business requirements within the Strategy, Risk & Policy unit, and carries out other duties as assigned.

Provides information, advice and training regarding records and information management policies and procedures. Monitors and evaluates management of records by other units and locations, ensuring appropriate records management.

**Qualifications**

To qualify, you will have a diploma in Office or Business Administration or similar program. You will have a Records Management Designation or willingness to achieve one, and a valid Class 5 Driver’s License.

In addition to the above qualifications, the job requires 2-4 years of progressively more responsible experience in the following areas:

- Progressive experience in use of Microsoft Office Suite including word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint, etc.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skill in records management processes including experience in program implementation.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skill in general office administration, government processes and protocols and records and information management.
- Demonstrated skill in analytical, written and verbal communication.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- **Special Requirements**:_ _The position requires the incumbent to undergo a Criminal Record Check. You must be legally entitled to work in Canada. A valid Saskatchewan driver’s license is required._
