**About the Role**
Sustainalytics is a fast-growing, standalone business unit within the Morningstar family that serves three distinct market segments: institutional investors, retail/wealth investors and corporate issuers. The institutional investor segment is core to our business and focused on institutional asset managers, asset owners, banks and other financial market participants. The role of Marketing Manager, Climate Solutions is integral to implementing on Sustainalytics’ growth strategy for our climate research, ratings, and data business, strengthening our leadership position.
As the effects of climate change challenge the modern investment landscape, legislation is requiring our clients to disclose and report on these risks. The need to better understand how physical climate change and decarbonization efforts are affecting investment portfolios’ is critical to empower more climate-aligned investments and to drive the broader objectives of reaching the 1.5°C targets envisioned in the Paris Agreement (Net-Zero carbon emissions by 2050). To respond to this need, Morningstar Sustainalytics is building a science-based center of excellence within Sustainalytics and Morningstar. The Climate Solutions business unit is developing research and building products and tools that enable investors to assess how companies manage their business given the projected impacts of climate change and as we transition to a low-carbon economy. In this role, the Marketing Manager, Climate Solutions will execute on marketing strategies and programs for institutional investors.
**Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for implementing our product marketing strategy and programs for our Climate Solutions business.
- Execute on strategic multichannel marketing campaigns to significantly increase adoption of our new Climate Solutions offerings.
- Collaborate with marketing and communications colleagues to execute on marketing activities that clearly convey our competitive differentiators.
- Leverage data, content, and other resources across the Climate Solutions team to market our climate products and services as well as our expertise.
- Manage all aspects of our campaigns to achieve successful results that enable us to hit our targets.
- Work with the Senior Vice President and our Digital Team members to enhance our digital presence and innovate to leverage marketing best practices.
- Serve as a marketing partner to product management, client relations, and our commercialization teams.
**Qualifications**
- 3-5 years’ experience in marketing, preferably working in the financial services field and the area of ESG investing and/or climate
- Demonstrated track record in implementing omni-channel marketing programs at scale
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and navigate a matrixed organization
- A high energy individual with a positive, pragmatic / can-do attitude
- Experience in using Salesforce or another large CRM system
- Strong command of digital marketing channels, including website development, paid search, social media, and digital advertising
- Exceptional writing, editing and proofing skills
- Demonstrated leader and team player with solid interpersonal skills
- Superior project management ability
