We are on the hunt for an Accounts Payable Clerk to joins us in our Richmond, BC office.

**_ Position Description:_**

The Corporate Accounting department has an immediate requirement for an individual to support the Accounts Payable group and to provide general accounting support to the department.

**Responsibilities**:

- Match invoices to Purchase Orders;
- Obtain necessary authorizations for expenditures;
- Reconcile differences on invoices/vouchers and to keep the Accounting Supervisor informed of their status;
- Post transactions to the Accounts Payable sub-ledger;
- Reconcile suppliers statements and resolve outstanding issues;
- Maintain Costings files, follow up on outstanding originals and maintain Costings log;
- Monthly reconciliation for general ledger accounts;
- Collection of data for and preparation of reports as required on a regular and ad hoc basis.

**Requirements (experience/skills)**:

- Bachelor of commerce or college degree in business.
- At least one year of Accounts Payable experience;
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Experience in an accounting environment;
- Ability to work in a deadline oriented environment with peak workloads monthly and quarterly;
- Good working knowledge of Excel;
- Strong analytical and organizational skills;
- Effective communication skills.
