We are looking for an experienced accounting technician to handle comprehensive bookkeeping and accounting tasks, with a focus on providing excellent client service and maintaining accurate financial records.

**Your primary responsibilities will include**:

- Preparation of monthly and quarterly bookkeeping assignments (including but not limited to payables, receivables, bank and credit card reconciliations)
- Reconcile accounts and post journal entries.
- Calculate fixed assets and depreciation.
- Maintain general ledgers and financial statements.
- Prepare financial and accounting reports.
- Prepare sale tax returns.
- Prepare year end entries, forecasts, budgets and other statistical reports.
- Prepare payroll calculations including bonus and vacation calculations, taxable benefits, remittances
- Prepare annual T4 and T4A reporting
- Prepare T3010 Registered Charity Information Return
- Reviewing and analyzing of financial reports, account receivables & account payables
- Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
- Be a trusted advisor for our clients.
- Completion of Accounting Diploma or equivalent
- At least 5 years of experience as an accounting technician
- Bookkeeping experience with insurance brokers would be an asset
- Highly proficient in cloud accounting software such as QuickBooks Online or Xero
- Highly proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Working with RIBO reports would be an asset
- Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to effectively interface with personnel at all levels
- Professional and friendly manner
- Positive attitude and desire to help others
- Results oriented with the ability to complete assignments on time and manage multiple priorities concurrently
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills
