As a Job Hunting Specialist, your role is to hunt jobs wherever they may be. You will be evaluated by the number of jobs you are able to find for our students, and the number of job-connect you are able to make for our students.

A Job hunting specialist, also known as career counselors or job placement specialists, play a crucial role in assisting individuals in finding suitable employment opportunities. Your responsibilities involve guiding job seekers through the job search process, offering career advice, and helping them develop the skills necessary to secure and excel in their chosen professions.

Among others, you will be responsible for the following tasks and responsibilities:
**Networking and Relationship Building**
- Facilitate networking events, workshops, and seminars to connect job seekers with potential employers.
- Assist in building and maintaining professional networks for clients within their industry of interest.
- Provide guidance on how to effectively utilize professional networking platforms.

**Job Placement Assistance**
- Collaborate with employers to understand their hiring needs and requirements.
- Connect job seekers with relevant job opportunities through job fairs, company visits, and networking events.
- Follow up with clients after interviews and placements to provide ongoing support and address any concerns.

**Job Search Strategy Development**
- Assist clients in creating effective resumes and cover letters tailored to specific job opportunities.
- Teach job search techniques, including networking, online job searches, and leveraging social media platforms.
- Help individuals develop and refine their elevator pitch for networking events and interviews.

**Career Counseling and Assessment**
- Conduct one-on-one sessions with job seekers to assess their skills, interests, and career goals.
- Administer and interpret career assessment tools to help individuals identify suitable career paths.
- Provide guidance on educational and training programs that align with the job seeker's career objectives.

**Interview Preparation**
- Conduct mock interviews to help clients practice and refine their interview skills.
- Provide feedback on body language, communication, and overall interview performance.
- Offer guidance on answering common interview questions and addressing potential challenges.

**Continuous Professional Development**
- Stay informed about industry trends, labor market conditions, and changes in hiring practices.
- Attend workshops, conferences, and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills in career counseling.
- Collaborate with educational institutions and industry professionals to stay connected with potential opportunities for job seekers.

**Record Keeping and Reporting**
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and job placements.
- Generate reports on job placement success rates, client feedback, and program effectiveness.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $16.50-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week
