**About us**:
Opportunity Home is a provincially licenced, privately funded non-profit Residential Treatment and Recovery Centre for **MEN** 18 years and older struggling to overcome substance use disorder.

**About the role**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Reports to the Executive and Assistant Director.
- Assist with the evening meal preparation, setup, and clean-up.
- Dispense and record client medications as required.
- Ensure all incidents are documented
- Complete data base entries as required.
- Ensure that intake rooms are cleaned, bedding is washed, and beds made for incoming residents.
- Host evening guest speakers.
- Ability to drive clients to evening NA & AA meetings
- Imperative to spend time with the residents, gaining trust as well encouraging them in their recovery.
- Ability to recognise, control and deescalate conflict situations
- Restock supplies as required
- Ensure coffee pot, and dining area is cleaned and ready for morning.
- Ensure kitchen and coolers are locked before shift change
- Enforce Home Rules - Quiet time, 11pm-7:00 am
- Other duties as required
- Addictions Diploma and or related field experience
- Experience working in a support worker setting
- Clean drivers abstract
- Criminal Background and Vulnerability Sector Check
- Standard First Aid with AED

**Job Types**: Full-time, Casual

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- Weekends only

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Drayton Valley, AB T7A 1R3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Work Location: One location

Expected start date: 2023-01-16
