**About this Role**

The Dictation and Filing Assistant will support the Business Litigation team by transcribing dictations, managing document filing, and assisting with other tasks as necessary to ensure timely communication and efficient organization of legal documents, while also providing support for overflow tasks as needed.

**Core Duties and Responsibilities**

As a Dictation and Filing Assistant, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Transcribing dictations from lawyers and ensuring accuracy in documents;
- Assisting with the preparation of legal documents and correspondence;
- Organizing and maintaining physical and electronic case files;
- Filing documents with courts and other relevant agencies as required;
- Maintaining an efficient filing system to enable quick retrieval of documents;
- Collaborating with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks; and,
- Performing additional administrative duties as needed.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Graduate of an administration program or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a legal or administrative role considered a strong asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
- Exceptional attention to detail, and strong organizational and time management skills.
- A positive team player who contributes to a good team environment.
- Adept at using technology such as Outlook and the full Microsoft Office suite, and a talent for learning new computer programs quickly.
- Proficiency with legal document management software considered a strong asset.
