**Quality and Operations Excellence Coordinator - RDT Service**

Reporting to the Business Line Manager - Tools & Attachments (TLD), the Quality & Operations Excellence Coordinator - Rock Drilling Tools (RDT) Service will have the primary focus of ensuring a cohesive and compliant training program for all new and existing employees in the RDT Service Department. The Coordinator will work alongside the National Shop Manager RDT, Warehouse Operations Manager and all other TLD Managers to improve the knowledge and skills of their workforce by focusing on operational safety, excellence, and adherence to procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Training
- Develop and train employees on applicable policies and procedures to ensure that safety is the number one priority
- Ensure employees have participated in orientation and onboarding training and have legal and current certifications on equipment and tools in the workplace
- Work with SHEQ/HR Team to ensure all training documentation and certifications are stored in training database
- Work in close collaboration with HR to ensure that all new employees have received the appropriate training prior to work commencing
- Maintain a strong working relationship with the PSD department and National SHEQ Manager to ensure consistent, collaborative training and follow up to ensure maximum efficiency in MCA

Quality
- Use experience and knowledge to challenge and improve “the way we do things” by “daring to think new” in our service facilities in terms of workflow, processes, and equipment with the goal of improving health, safety, environment, quality, efficiency, and profitability
- In conjunction with Shop Manager, participate and assist in incident and accident investigations and corrective actions to ultimately strive for Zero Harm in our operations.
- Create clear and concise Policies, Standard Operating Procedures and Process Flows for TLD Department include RDT, Warehouse and other operations
- Conduct internal audits of systems and processes to propose continual improvement initiatives
- Assist in addressing Customer Complaints and any internal non-conformities by investigating root cause and implementing corrective actions
- Establish KPIs and review goals to justify workforce for every location
- Create and implement preventative maintenance plan (i.e., weekly grinder maintenance)

Additional Responsibilities
- Travel and spend time at RDT and Warehouse locations across Canada on a regular basis

- Work in close collaboration with National Shop Manager - RDT to ensure that all RDT Facilities are working safely, efficiently, and consistently
- Work in close collaboration with Warehouse Operations Manager to ensure that all Warehouse Facilities are working safely, efficiently, and consistently
- Provide support in the absence of managers for vacation and sickness coverage
- Assist in recruitment initiatives and interview process within TLD
- Become an integral part of the Epiroc TLD team making it a fun, safe and rewarding place to work
- Ensure all employees follow the “12 Life Saving Commitments”

EXPERIENCE:

- 3 Years of Health and Safety and Quality experience

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- ISO Training an asset

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

- Strong computer skills, including multiple Databases such as SharePoint, MS Office and its components
- Excellent people and communication skills
- Ambition and the motivation to succeed
- Ability to set and meet goals
- A leader with the ability to affect changes as required
- A proven self-starter that requires minimum supervision
- Willingness to travel periodically
