**Thunder Bay Pulp & Paper** is a leading northern bleached softwood kraft and northern bleached hardwood kraft pulp, paper, newsprint and directory producer. Located on Lake Superior, the Thunder Bay mill has been a landmark company of northwestern Ontario since 1919. In August 2023, Atlas Holdings established Thunder Bay Pulp & Paper as an independent pulp and paper operation, joining Atlas’ global family of manufacturing and distribution businesses.

Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, this position is responsible for assisting in driving the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation strategies within the Finance module in the new ERP solution. This individual will work closely with the ERP Project Manager as well as other key work stream leads. This individual will be responsible for developing financial workflows that mirror existing system configurations while ensuring internal controls and best practices are maintained. The Finance Lead will support implementation and training during the project.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Ensure that the facilities operate in full compliance with all health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations ensuring all employees are held accountable for our safety and environmental systems.
- Ensure company policies and values are implemented and maintained throughout the organization and all legal requirements are met.
- Act as the dedicated resource to the finance processes within the scope of the project.
- Develop and provide business requirements, own system design decisions and assist in validating converted data.
- Serve as the expert user working closely with the implementation provider and train end-users as well as provide support.
- Assist in the development of business cases which will represent 80% of overall functionality of the business needs.
- Assist the Director of Finance in other tasks as required.

**Key Selection Criteria/Experience**:

- Strong understanding of the full accounting cycle with proven experience working with key internal controls and system configuration to maintain best practices for financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of financial system workflows particularly with respect to interaction between the financial and procurement functions.
- Previous experience with product costing and reporting as well as an understanding of the development and configuration of allocation rules used for product costing.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment with at least five years of cost accounting experience and the ability to work independently as well as with a team.
- Excellent organizational skills including planning, prioritizing, and delegating along with strong attention to details and problem-solving skills.
