West Vancouver, Canada Good Hope Cannery Ltd. Full time

**NOTE: This is a REMOTE full-time seasonal position in Rivers Inlet, BC. Employees understand the season is full-time, weekends and holidays. This may include days, evenings and split-shifts. The season tentatively starts May 2024 and ends September 2024. Employees are expected to commit to a full season upon contract signing and understand they will work and live at River’s Inlet, Good Hope Cannery for the full season, 7 days a week. Time off through the season is provided.**

**Summary**:
Good Hope Cannery is a historic and remote private wilderness lodge in Rivers Inlet, BC. The lodge is operational during the summer months for invited guests to experience fishing, water sports, and wildlife touring. Good Hope provides guests with an all-inclusive relaxing experience within the rugged, beautiful, and isolated setting of Rivers Inlet. The lodge is accessible by floatplane or boat. Employer provides transportation to and from lodge for season. On-site staff accommodations including laundry facility as well as meals and snacks are provided. Staff are also encouraged to enjoy use of recreation facilities during your down time.

**Duties include, but are not limited to**:

- Greet guests upon arrival and assist with luggage.
- Keep docks and lodge clean, tidy and free of hazards.
- Participate in crew safety meetings.
- Conduct drywall repairs and patching as needed.
- Use hand tools and power tools to complete maintenance tasks.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure project success.
- Perform caulking and sealing tasks to maintain the integrity of structures.
- Assist with the restoration of damaged areas.
- Assist Maintenance Manager with any and/or all of the following:

- Water system
- Boat maintenance
- Maintenance of commercial kitchen
- Lodge equipment including but not limited to:

- Plumbing
- Electrical
- Mechanical - generators, boats, atv’s etc.
- Fuel handling system

**Physical demands include**:
Lifting, bending, and long hours on your feet, standing/walking.

**Requirements for the Position**:

- Previous experience in commercial, residential, or industrial painting.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for maintenance tasks.
- Knowledge of drywall repair techniques and patching methods.
- Attention to detail to ensure high-quality workmanship.
- Willingness to learn new technical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Able to communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds. As well as work and live closely with team members.
- Organizational skills - Ability to be organized and prioritize tasks in a changing environment.
- Ability to maintain a calm professional demeanor during periods of uncertainty or crisis.
- Self-motivated while working alone with the ability to work efficiently and prioritize tasks in fast a pace work environment.

**Assets for the Position**:

- Mechanical
- Refrigeration
- Plumbing
- Carpentry
- Electrical
- Certificate in CPR and/or Occupational First Aid Level 1 - 3 certificate

**Salary**: Daily Rate - TBD

Contract length: 4-6 months

**Job Types**: Seasonal, Full-time, Fixed term contract

**Salary**: based on skill set and experience $200.00-$300.00 per day
