We are currently in search of a **full-time, permanent Compliance Manager** to play a key role in ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and enhancing our operational excellence. **About the Role**:
In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in establishing and monitoring efficient policies and procedures governing the supervision and support provided to our clients within the developmental services sector. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will serve as the 'second line of defense' in risk management, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and organizational policies.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assess compliance risks for new resident placements and programs, as well as potential resident discharges, providing strategic advice on mitigation strategies in consultation with the executive team.
- Stay current on Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS) regulatory requirements, especially _Services and Supports to Promote the Social Inclusion of Persons with Developmental Disabilities Act, 2008_ (SIPDDA) and _Child, Youth, and Family Services Act, 2017_ (CYFSA), and Quality Assurance Management (QAM) requirements for licensing residential programs, implementing policies and procedures that align with regulatory standards and leading practices.
- Collaborate with Service Directors to continuously enhance the efficiency of policies and procedures, ensuring consistency across the organization.
- Educate Service Directors and Service Managers on policies, procedures and protocols, supporting their efforts in driving adoption within their teams.
- Assess organizational risks and compliance with legislation and licensing requirements, focusing on accuracy, completeness, and timeliness in monthly QAM and licensing checklists.
- Conduct spot checks of client and staff files, reviewing incident reports and medication administration records, and addressing non-compliance trends promptly.
- Regularly report on organizational risk management, compliance, and the adoption of recommendations, collaborating closely with the Service Director and Managing Director.

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary degree and a minimum of 5 years’ work experience, preferably in a compliance-related function.
- Experience in establishing and monitoring compliance with sound operational management practices.
- Experience in the social services field, particularly in residential treatment for developmental adults and/or children with complex developmental needs, autism spectrum disorder, Schizophrenic spectrum disorders, mental illness, and dual diagnosis is an asset, but not required.
- Experience with and sound knowledge of MCCSS regulatory requirements - mainly SIPDDA and CYFSA - along with QAM requirements for the licensing of residential programs is an asset.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and insurance.
- Acceptable results from Criminal Background Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening.
