**_ About You:_**

Propel is seeking a talented and driven individual to join our dynamic and growing Compliance team. Reporting to the VP, Corporate Affairs & Chief Compliance Officer, the incumbent will play an important risk management role to ensure the company is operating in compliance with applicable legal requirements and best practices.

**Responsibilities**
- Work collaboratively with all business lines to advise on applicability of requirements to new and existing business initiatives
- Ensure preventative and detective controls are effective and applicable over time
- Use business acumen to help problem solve and be a valuable member of not just the compliance team, but the business teams being supported
- Partner with the business on new projects, providing guidance, insights and effective challenge
- Anticipate potential hurdles by monitoring changes in legislation, business landscape, etc
- Maintain and analyze compliance data to product effective, helpful reporting on compliance metrics
- Be a team player who is interested in helping the team and company succeed

**Requirements**:

- University Degree required.
- 3-5 years’ experience in a compliance, legal, accounting, analytics or risk role.
- Proven track record of working successfully with senior management in an impactful and influential capacity.
- Sound judgment and business acumen.
- Creative problem-solving skills, and comfort in navigating ambiguous situations and complex problems.
- Strong attention to detail and project management/organizational skills.
- Proven ability to lead and influence through strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in a highly regulated environment an asset.
- Proactive, motivated and able to multitask.
- Excellent research skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
