**The Position**

As the **_Social _**_Media and Talent Attraction _**_Specialist_**, you will be responsible for facilitating and optimizing the hiring and recruitment strategies for the College. This will be achieved through the development of recruiting plans, employing traditional and modern sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas, specifically leveraging social media. You will play a critical role in the development of our HR webpages and ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent.

**What You'll do**
- Lead the team in the development/expansion of our social media presence across all platforms.
- Devise and implement sourcing strategies to build talent pools of potential applicants.
- Continuously develop & deploy employer branding strategies to enhance talent acquisition.
- Develop recruitment and hiring strategies for positions/areas of expertise that are hard to fill.
- Write job descriptions/postings that clearly and concisely highlight the requirements of the position.
- Oversee the development of standby “talent pools” for a variety of technical & professional skills.
- Collaborate with recruitment team in sourcing positions.
- For the hiring of highly skilled technical consultants, ensure compliance with the hiring and documentation requirements of the LCOP (C-65.1 : Loi sur les Contrats des Organismes Publics).
- Perform other duties, as assigned.

**What You'll Need**
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent.
- 3-5 years’ experience in recruitment and hiring with strong background in developing specific recruiting strategies to address a wide range of hiring needs.
- Bilingual fluency in English and French (both verbal and written).
- In-depth experience using social media platforms including LinkedIn Recruiter.
- Strong interpersonal skills and results oriented.
- Must be a self-starter who wants to develop and spearhead recruitment initiatives autonomously.

**Assets that would be beneficial**
- Creativity and strategic thinking.
- Experience with the Cegep network collective agreements would be a significant asset, particularly for the Support Staff and Professionals categories.
- Experience in the development of human resource talent pools is highly desirable.
- Experience working in a unionized environment.
- Proactive by nature, with strong communication skills and high sense of urgency.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and to manage competing priorities in a rapidly changing environment, and within respective deadlines.
- Highly flexible and able to manage relationships at all levels.
- Strong moral and ethical judgement in decision making, along with a commitment to maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independent.
- Able to interact with people in sensitive, tactful, diplomatic and professional at all times.
