**Position: Business Development Representative, HTI Canada**
Horizontal Technology, Inc. is a world leader in the supply of steering services and drilling tools for the HDD Industry. The Horizontal Technology Team is ready to take your call and respond immediately, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
**Job Summary**
This is a full-time position reporting to the VP of Operations, you will be accountable for the development, implementation of business development of the Canadian Division at HTI Canada. This includes ensuring appropriate structure, systems and resources are in place to support successful project implementation from start to finish. This position will also be responsible for overseeing all in-house sales, inventory, shipments, warehouse supplies, tracking equipment, managing inventory counts and ordering equipment while ensuring profitability.

**Accountabilities**:
- Accountable for the development and implementation of the HTI Canadian Division.
- Negotiate immediate or future project opportunities specific to HTI Canada.
- Build financially sound, executable, data-driven business strategies.
- Assist HTI Canada in scoping and implementing new projects and strategic initiatives.
- Identify trends and emerging issues of identified key market sectors.
- Provide leadership for the strategic planning, resources, processes, and execution, specific to the horizontal directional drilling industry.
- Accountable for strategic planning and implementation of business plan/strategic plan.
- Accountable for final decisions, within HTI Canada, specific to the level of authority within the company.
- Accountable for problem solving within designated portfolio, through to resolution, with a focus upon professionalism, impartiality, and a full understanding of the problem at hand.
- Co-ordinate, direct and develop policies, practices, templates, and procedures to improve workflow and design activities for tooling development (R&D).
- Working closely with all leaders as well as discipline leads to ensure continuous communication and collaboration of project requirements, coordinate activities with other departments internally.
- Provide strong leadership, develop, and set individual and departmental team performance goals.
- Develop, review, approve specifications, processes, and standards specific to HTI Canada.
- Assist with driving HTI Canada's strategy at a corporate level.
- Serve as leader in developing new business and strategic partnerships.
- Foster, promote and facilitate cross-selling of company-wide products, services, and capabilities.
- Collaborate with colleagues (executive, leadership, and peers) to develop new products and services.
- Contribute to the strategic planning and execution of all sales, marketing, and public relations activities.
- Increase customer base and add to existing customer profitability.
- Identify, design, develop and implement market-driven strategies to achieve revenue goals and the company's mission.
- Oversee marketing programs and partner channels that increase the company's revenues and customer base while expanding existing channels.
- Identify potential strategic partners, alliances, and relationships to expand core product lines or bring new product lines to the organization.
- Promote a customer-oriented focus and advocate consultative customer relationships.
- Develop and maintain high-profile external relationships within customers, professional organizations, and other business associates, etc. (public relations presence).
- Act as primary contact for clients and internal company personnel.
**New Business Development**
- Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
- Cold call/warm call as appropriate within your market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
- Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
- Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization.
- Research and build relationships with new clients.
- Set up meetings between client decision makers and company's practice leaders/principals.
