**Overview**:
In a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment, the **Dispatcher** is responsible for scheduling Ready-mix deliveries, ensuring accurate material dispatch requirements and allocating drivers to deliver the product on a daily basis. This role will assist the daily duties by managing resources needed to deliver concrete to customers. It requires accurate data input to support the sales, financial and production teams.

Safety is the number one priority and you will need to follow group policies, promote safe working practices, and describe and promote safe behavior expectations to RMX drivers.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To dispatch mixer trucks within customer and truck requirements in a safe and timely basis.
- To provide superior customer service.
- Support with customer calls
- To create and maintain a positive work environment.
- To ensure strict compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies, procedures and principles established by governing bodies.
- Establish and maintain regular communication with drivers (Provide support and knowledge for drivers; directions, site details and project information)
- To effectively utilize plant assets and manage truck capacities daily
- To manage delivery KPI’S.
- Responsible to report accurate information and other duties as required.
- Open availability - working different shifts and may require long hours based on business needs.
- providing support based on inquiries and updating appropriate details on orders.
- Assist customer inquiries in regards to truck locations, approximate ETAs, order availability, additional products, special requests, load limit/vehicle weight, etc.

- Drivers
- Order desk personnel
- Operations Manager
- Internal or external maintenance shops for truck maintenance, servicing and availability

**Qualifications**:

- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Knowledge of ready-mix concrete operations and the construction industry.
- Knowledge of concrete truck capacities.
- Knowledge of Edmonton Area roadways, municipalities and geography.
- Strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to anticipate and manage changes.
- Ability to multi-task and meet competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Timeliness and ability to meet deadlines.
- Good computer skills, including use of Windows-based programs.
