**Specialist, Volunteer Engagement and Strategic Projects**:
CNIB invites you to build a career as unique as you We are currently searching for a Specialist, Volunteer Engagement and Strategic Projects Reporting to the Director Community Engagement & Inclusion, the Specialist of Volunteer Engagement and Special Projects will provide partner-facing project oversight and administration for various centralized volunteer initiatives.

The Volunteer Engagement and Special Projects Specialist is responsible for providing support and coordination of the day-to-day operations of the CNIB's Volunteer Engagement Program within the framework of CNIB's philosophy, policies, procedures, standards, and Values.

- Make CNIB the organization of choice for volunteers across Canada - Provides support to the Director, Community Engagement & Inclusion to promote our commitment to volunteer engagement at every opportunity and developing the active volunteer base needed to support regional staff in local operations.
- Design creative and competitive national volunteer recruitment and re-engagement campaigns to support the goals of CNIB’s strategic plan by increase our volunteer base and broadcasting CNIB as the best choice to volunteer in Canada.
- Develop impactful volunteer onboarding and training templates and resources, to be used as CNIB's standards across the country.
- Support with the development of standardized, bilingual documentation and ensures best practices are in place and adhered to the Volunteer Engagement Program.
- Be the key liaison for Program Leads staff who require guidance on volunteer-related matters and supports volunteer onboarding and orientation.
- Develop new recruitment, retention and stewardship strategies and events that will drive more volunteers through our doors at this critical time.
- Lead the development and implementation of Volunteer Engagement activities, such as Events, National Volunteer Week, Impact reports, holiday campaigns and other stewardship initiatives.

- Excellent relationship building skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Highly organized and able to work independently.
- Flexible and dynamic with well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Professional attitude, self-starter and flexible to an evolving program department.
- Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset.
- French proficient is a plus.

**We want to hear from you if you have**:

- College or University diploma/degree in a related field such as Communications, Project Management, Volunteer Engagement.
- Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset.
- Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset.

**Work Environment**:

- Willingness to work flexible hours when required.
