We are currently looking for **Cooks **at Nickels Deli Restaurant located at **4280 Rue Jean-Talon E, Saint-Léonard, QC H1S 1J7.**

**Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities**:

- Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.
- Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.
- Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
- Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.
- Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs.

**Qualifications**:

- Basic written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational skills
- Accuracy and speed in executing tasks
- Ability to work as a team member
- Follows directions and instructions
- 1 to 2 years of experience as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook
- Experience with various cooking methods and procedures
- Familiar with industry best practices

**Principales responsabilités**:

- Préparer et stocker les produits alimentaires et les autres fournitures nécessaires.
- Préparer les aliments en les coupant, les hachant, les mélangeant et en préparant des sauces.
- Cuire les aliments en les grillant, en les faisant frire, en les faisant sauter et en appliquant d'autres méthodes de cuisson selon les recettes et les normes spécifiées.
- Maintenir la propreté et se conformer aux exigences d'hygiène alimentaire en manipulant correctement les aliments et en veillant à leur bonne conservation.
- Nettoie et assainit les surfaces de cuisson à la fin de la période de travail.
- Effectuer des contrôles d'inventaire et compléter les registres d'entreposage des aliments.

**Qualifications**:

- Compétences de base en communication écrite et orale
- Sens de l'organisation
- Précision et rapidité dans l'exécution des tâches
- Capacité à travailler en équipe
- Respect des consignes et des instructions
- 1 à 2 ans d'expérience en tant que cuisinier de ligne, cuisinier de restaurant ou cuisinier préparateur
- Expérience de diverses méthodes et procédures de cuisson
- Connaissance des meilleures pratiques du secteur
