POSITION:
Retail Clerk

LOCATION:
Guelph, Ontario

LEVEL:
Individual Contributor

DESCRIPTION:
Seeking part-time retail staff at our retail store - starting rate is $20.70/hour

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Front line customer service for external customers as well as Sleeman Employees
- Processing beer sales for all customers (internal and external)
- Inventory management in the retail store, including beer, clothing items, mugs, glasses, etc.
- Assist customers in the delivery of cases of beer and kegs to customer’s vehicles if requested
- Process all purchases made and balance the till
- Perform opening and closing duties
- Conduct plant tours for external customers
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Adhere to the food safety required as per job duties and report non-conformities
- Complete Home Beer Deliveries through our Retail Outlet
- Empties collection and reconciliation
- Serving patrons in taproom and patio

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Must be at least 19 years of age or older
- Valid Class G driver’s license and clean driving record
- Strong interpersonal /customer service skills to provide a superior Sleeman’s branded experience for our employees and external customers
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills are required
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time
- 1 year cash-handling and key-holder experience, preferably in food & beverage industry is strongly preferred
- Lowlift operation required, in-house training and certification will be provided
- Must have a valid Smart Serve Certificate
- Previous experience working in a retail, customer service role is strongly preferred
- Team player as well as the ability to work independently as need be
- Digital Media experience an asset
