Under the supervision of the infectious diseases coordinator and as a member of the infectious diseases team of the Public Health Department of the Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services (RRSSSN), the laboratory will participate in population screening for tuberculosis and sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections (STBBIs), including syphilis. You must be available to work in a Nunavik community for a minimum period of 4-6 weeks.

Mainly, you will have to:

- Perform tuberculosis analyzes (Quantiferon, GeneXpert)
- Collaborate with the team in the preparation and transport of samples to external laboratories;
- Ensure management of biomedical waste;
- Act as the team's focal point for all laboratory procedures;
- Perform other related duties.

**Qualifications**
- Entry Level Certificate from the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Sciences
- Experience in a remote region and/or in tuberculosis, an asset;
- Available to work in a remote region context;
- Excellent command of two of the three languages used in Nunavik, both spoken and written (French, English, Inuktitut);
- Ability to work under pressure and according to a variable schedule;
- Excellent adaptability;
- Aptitude for teamwork;
- Collaborate in the various screening activities;
- Availability for a period of 4 to 6 weeks

**Conditions and benefits**
One-year occasional part-time temporary position with possibility of extension;
During travel, the northern premiums are paid and accommodation is provided;
Salary according to the rules established by the MSSS ($24.78/h to $35.67/h).
