What will you do?

The Member Benefits Specialist is responsible for administering all aspects of membership care including ongoing relationship management and providing solutions to members relating to benefit system support and utilization of benefit services. The position will also ensure that linkages are seamless in relation to programs and services offered by OpenCircle Benefits.

Job Responsibilities- Ongoing with Companies
- Cost share questions (renewal and tax time)
- Cost share changes
- New administrator training (when requested by company, request from call center)
- Create and host monthly Benefit and Services Webinars across the country.
- Plan changes/amendments.
- Requests for plan level changes within the appropriate program timelines and advice for companies looking for benefit plan options.
- Internal Support for OpenCircle and OpenCircle Benefits
- Lead projects pertaining to the benefit plan as well as other areas of the organization, as determined by the Director, Benefit Services
- Develop new processes to accommodate changes to benefit plans, or structure.
- Employer Escalations
- Assistance with Employer Portal processes
- Confirm if members are showing active with Canada Life
- Any issues with the employer (drug cards, enrolment, MVOS, GroupNet)
- Compliance Issues
- Review and identification of potential compliance issues and provide retraining where applicable.
- Reporting of individual cases, trends and recommended actions
- MVOS Support
- Monthly work arounds
- New release testing (when needed)
- New system features documentation, testing, implementation

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma; post-secondary an asset.
- Advanced knowledge of benefit and membership programs.
- Ability to organize workflow and priorities to meet the needs of members and employers.
- Ability to handle a multitude of tasks accurately, effectively and efficiently.
- Desire to promote team building and ensure strong team environment is achieved.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Effectively deal with all clients in a manner that shows sensitivity, tact and professionalism.
- Good judgement, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to locate, process and analyze data.
- Advocates and enables change and assists others in dealing with transition.
- Initiative in identifying and dealing with situations proactively and persistently.
- Great Attention to detail.
- Exemplary customer service skills.
- Demonstrate time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet projected timelines.
- Proficiency in computer software packages including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook. Excellent computer skills are essential in this role.
