Digital Operator

Vancouver, Canada Bond Reproductions Inc. Full time

Bond Reproductions is looking to hire a digital press operator for our business. This position is a great starting point for someone who is interested in the printing, marketing and visual communications in a commercial print setting. This is an entry level position with the opportunity for growth.

**Skills**:

- Preference to those with previous experience running digital print equipment.
- Comfortable with Windows OS, comprehensive understanding of PC handling and the intuition to learn new software.
- The ability to perform heavy lifts as well as being comfortable standing and walking for the duration of shift.
- Quick learning with the ability to adapt to changing workflow in a fast-paced environment.
- Multitasking with equipment and hand work (collating, slipsheeting and organizing).
- Excellent communication skills in English both written and verbal.

**Responsibilities**:

- Setting up files in ques, following procedures based on job ticket requirements.
- Following colour management procedures, handling of print engines and colour matching.
- Have a keen eye for detail and be able to spot problems.
- Maintaining an organized, clutter free work area and cleaning regularly.
- Helping with bindery/manual labour (collating, tab inserting, handwork).
- Time management and proven ability for excellent productivity.
- Following instructions and tasks as provided by supervisor.
- Communicating to management when issues arise.

This role involves varied shift availability. Training will be primarily done during the day Monday through Friday.

During busy periods of the year the shift will be modified to include weekends and/or evenings to accommodate business needs.

**Salary**: From $20.00 per hour
